Resum

Aquest estudi utilitza el “Weather research and forecasting model” (WRF) i el sistema tridimensional d'assimilació de dades variacionals (WRF 3DVAR), en arrencades en fred i en calent, amb l'objectiu d'esbrinar el mètode de predicció immediata més adequat, que hauria millorat la previsió de precipitació màxima en el sistema convectiu mesoescalar que es va produir a Catalunya el 21 de març de 2012 a les 20 UTC. Es van assimilar dades de radar utilitzant diferents configuracions, is va verificar qualitativament l'augment de l'aigua de pluja produïda per l'assimilació de la reflectivitat.

Resum

Aquest estudi es va dur a terme a la conca del Cheliff a Algèria, per avaluar la gravetat de la sequera i analitzar la importància de la tendència espacial i temporal de les precipitacions anuals durant el període de 1914 a 2011. En aquest estudi, la sèrie de precipitacions de vuit estacions van ser sotmeses a l'anàlisi de l'índex de precipitació normalitzat (SPI), a proves d'homogeneïtat, a l'anàlisi de tendències i a una suavització exponencial per a fer una predicció de precipitació a curt termini.

Resum

Diversos productes de precipitació utilitzen radiances i reflectàncies obtingudes a partir del sensor SEVIRI (Spinning Enhanced Visible and Infrared Imager) per estimar la precipitació de caràcter convectiu. És sabut que l'ús directe d'aquests valors en algorismes de precipitació sobreestima l'àrea i subestima la intensitat de precipitació.

Resum

La classificació clúster d'orígens en un emplaçament del nord-est de la península Ibèrica va indicar que durant el període d'hivern perllongat (de desembre a març, DGFM), els ràpids corrents d'aire de l'Atlàntic corresponen a l'índex WeMO (WeMOi) positiu, mentre que el WeMOi negatiu està associat a les circulacions mediterrànies. La quantitat de precipitació hivernal estava inversament relacionada amb el WeMOi hivernal.
