Avaluació del rendiment del sistema de modelització MM5/MNEQA/CMAQ de la qualitat de l’aire per a pronosticar l’ozó a Catalunya

Abstract

Estudiem la capacitat d’un sistema de modelització per a pronosticar la formació i el transport d’ozó sobre Catalunya. Amb aquesta finalitat, el model de la Comunitat de Qualitat de l’Aire Multiescalar (CMAQ, d’ara endavant les sigles es refereixen a la seva versió en anglès, excepte indicació expressa) desenvolupat per l’Agència de Protecció del Medi Ambient dels Estats Units (US EPA) i el sistema PSU/NCAR de modelització mesoescalar MM5 s’associen amb un nou model d’emissió, el Model d’Emissió Numèric per a la Qualitat de l’Aire (MNEQA). Les sortides del sistema de modelització per al període que va de maig a octubre de 2008 es comparen amb les mesures d’ozó d’estacions seleccionades que pertanyen al Departament de Medi Ambient de la Generalitat de Catalunya. Els resultats indiquen un bon comportament del model a l’hora de reproduir les concentracions diürnes d’ozó, mentre que els valors estadístics cauen dins els marcs reguladors EPA i UE.
